It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.
This verse represents what I’ve been taught over the course of my own journey with healing my body and gut. However, this verse is not talking about the nutritional benefits of food. It’s saying how Jesus is the bread of life and our healing comes from Him. Living our lives for Him is healing and powerful! The previous verses of this chapter show this.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”
Proverbs 3:5-8 NIV
God has provided us with all we need. It is so amazing how one fruit or veggie can contain so many vitamins and nutrients to fuel and heal our bodies, it’s all His design. While the food is healing to our bodies, we must remember that God created the food for us and is the one who is truly healing us.
Healing takes time and usually doesn’t happen overnight. But He cares for you and trust that He will heal you and will bring you to your optimal health through His creation.
